Sugar Cane faithfully recreates a 1953 Type II jacket. Crafted from 14.25 oz indigo selvedge denim, specially developed by Sugar Cane, utilizing an indigo-dyed warp and undyed weft. The jacket features a five-button front closure with Sugar Cane-engraved antique-finished metal buttons, a front and back yoke, double pleats, a pointed collar, flap chest pockets, and buttoned tabs at the back hem. This unlined jacket has a regular, boxy, cropped fit, great for wear as a light jacket in the warmer months, or a layering piece during cooler times.

This iteration of Sugar Cane's 1953 Type II Jacket has undergone a process that involves distressing the garment, from the fabric to the hardware, and washing it, to create a used, aged look. From puckering at the seams, fades across the fabric face, and wear/corrosion to the metal hardware, this Sugar Cane convincingly produces a jacket that seems to have seen decades of wear.
