Studio D'Artisan's "Sou-Ai" 16oz Twin Indigo Selvedge Denim Type II Jacket features the classic shape of a midcentury denim Type II jacket—no hardwarmer pockets here, just classic pleating, chest pockets, and adjustable waist tabs. If it weren't for the incredible "Twin Indigo" selvedge fabric, this would fall into the "reproduction" category, but this astounding fabric is unlike anything you'd find on a vintage Type II. By allowing the yarns to dry between rounds of dyeing, Studio D'Artisan is able to achieve varying degrees of richness and intensity in color, producing a denim with a red cast warp and green cast weft. Additionally, weaving the fabric with uneven and smooth yarns produces remarkable slub that must be seen to believe!
