Modesto Straight Cut 14.5oz Kaihara Selvedge Denim

Introducing the Modesto, Freenote's 7th denim fit. Inspired by early 1900s workwear, this high-rise, straight-leg jean features a wide, comfortable fit with no taper. Designed for everyday wear, the Modesto boasts a button fly, two-piece waistband, and reinforced back pockets. A timeless and functional style, it's already a favorite at the Freenote HQ.

This particular iteration of the Modesto is made from Freenote's custom 14.5oz denim, made for them by Kaihara Mills in Japan. With a dark indigo warp and a white weft, the less pronounced weft yarn creates an inkier fabric face, letting the dark indigo warp yarns shine. With a high tension feel, this fabric contains a moderate level of slub, achieving the perfect balance for those who might want a casual jean that is also cool for the office.
